Genevieve V. Beller is a costume designer and artist dedicated to the idea that art matters because people matter. She has made her home in New York City among a vibrant community of storytellers, educators, artisans and bodega cats.
Genevieve’s costume career spans over two decades and includes work on and Off Broadway as well as for television, film and the circus arts.
Genevieve finds mentorship extremely rewarding. She offers workshops and student guidance in costume design, costume rendering (watercolor and digital), costume technology (from basic sewing to patterning and draping), costume crafts, and wearable tech including Arduino-controlled LED costume elements.
Genevieve is a founding member of Costume Professionals for Wage Equity, an organization dedicated to achieving equitable wages for working professionals in the entertainment industries. Through her work with CPfWE Genevieve is available for lectures and workshops in wage equity and the business of design.
